Here at Minnybar, we love an innovative and exciting cocktail menu. So, we are finding inspiration in a lesser-used key ingredient: the FIG!
Let’s take a sweet trip down fig lane as we indulge in the complexity of the Asian fruit. You can enjoy them fresh this season or canned year-round. These deep purple beauties are good as a dessert, entree, or a drink. Here are a few favorites to get your palate smiling!
Fig, Honey, Thyme, & Prosecco Smash
Easy to make, easy to enjoy!
What you’ll need:
Fresh figs
Ripe plums (or a couple of tablespoons of pomegranate arils as an alternative)
Elderflower liquor: the surprising ingredient that makes this drink so special!
Lemon juice.
Honey: just the right amount of sweetness!
Fresh thyme: a lovely pairing to figs.
Prosecco.
Simply muddle everything together and add the prosecco!
